Made using small parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon grown at the Familia Torres estate in the heart of the Penedès, near Barcelona, this cherry-coloured red is an excellent match for slow-cooked stews, Portobello mushrooms or strong cheese.
Widely regarded as one of Europe’s leading wine visionaries, Miguel Torres has been producing great wines for more than 50 years. In the 70s, he was one of the first producers to plant international grape varieties in Spain, creating this Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo blend – which is still popular today.
Aged for 12 months in oak, the intensely fruity and full-bodied Torres Gran Coronas has aromas of blueberries and cassis, with spicy balsamic notes and ripe tannins. Pair it with meaty stews, mushroom dishes and or a cheeseboard.
